This is what I need; Termux - How do I create a directory of files accessible outside of Termux?

I have my Tiddlywiki running on node.js in Termux. My problem is that Termux stores all files in the default folder. This way I can not let Dropbox backup. Can someone help me moving the default folder (with content) to, for example, Downloads? Or what is the best directory in my case? I spent years working on my Wiki and I'm afraid of making mistakes.

Android 7 (Nougat)

I installed my Tiddlywiki to this example: http://tiddlywiki.com/static/Installing%2520TiddlyWiki%2520on%2520Node.js.html

I lack personal experience with either Node.js or Tiddlywiki, but it should theoretically be possible to copy the directory that contains your Wiki (or its contents) to another arbitrary place. Are you familiar with the cp command? Does your Wiki pages specify absolute or relative paths? Inside which folder is the Wiki stored as of now? – Grimoire Sep 4 '17 at 12:36
  • I am not familiar wit the cp command. In any case, my wiki uses relative pads. As an example: My Wiki pages are stored in the data folder: /data/data/com.termux/mynewwiki (I have everything installed exactly as described on this page. : tiddlywiki.com/static/… – Jan Sep 4 '17 at 16:36
  • I'm now simulating a basic environment similar to yours in order to carry out the necessary tests. – Grimoire Sep 4 '17 at 16:45

I will do as soon as I have the opportunity. I'll let you know. Thank you – Jan Sep 4 '17 at 17:38

This outcome was not intended, but it is better. Tiddlywiki is AUTO saving in Data folder "mynewwiki". When I press Save, it is making a complete download in Download folder. (As 1 HTML file including pictures. Which can be accessed in any browser without using Termux or nodejs. And still useful in Termux and nodejs.) Drive sync is making a auto backup of download folder. Download is not overwriting so I have difrent recover points. What else can I wish for? Thank you. – Jan Sep 11 '17 at 7:16

See https://wiki.termux.com/index.php?search=Storage for the newest information about using storage in Termux. https://wiki.termux.com/wiki/Termux-setup-storage is the prerequisite. Use it first. To share data see https://wiki.termux.com/wiki/Sharing_Data for more information. Save your data to external storage in ~/storage/external which should be a link to Android/data/com.termux/files on your external SD card, and will be accessible from both Termux and Android.
