When I try to start Droid Explorer, it crashes immediately. Android Studio 3.0 is installed.

I can see that it's service is started and running. The requirements to run are all met, and I've run it before.

In the Windows Event Viewer, the crash seems to correspond to this:

Faulting application name: AppIcon.exe, version:, time stamp: 0x55fc319f
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7601.23807, time stamp: 0x5915fe14

Exception code: 0xe0434352

and this, too:

Application: AppIcon.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.IO.FileNotFoundException
   at DroidExplorer.Program..cctor()

Exception Info: System.TypeInitializationException
   at DroidExplorer.Program.Main(System.String[])

I've even ran the repair in the Droid Explorer's installer. I'm running the recent version x64 on Windows 7.

What can I do to get it working?

Does anyone have a clue, at least? This site is the "official" help forum for Droid Explorer.

[nearly a month later]

Does anyone have anything to offer here? Even a tidibit or some sympathy?
