I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4, SM-N910V. It is unlocked. According to root checker app and SuperSU app, my phone is NOT rooted. But, I can get to the boot loader and it has where I can install a custom rom. Can I, just flash a custom rom to it and through the rom, have root access? BTW, I have android version 6.01

Verizon phones come loaded with bloatware that runs down battery very fast.

Thanks for any help anyone can give.

  • Samsung devices are the hardest to gain root because of Knox... What do you mean by you can get to the bootloader ? Fastboot ? or Download Mode ? – Zillinium Apr 17 '18 at 0:14
  • The Verizon variant has a bootloader lock. It can be unofficially unlocked but only for certain eligible devices. You might want to look it up. – Andy Yan Apr 17 '18 at 2:23
