I heard about the procedure: Connect the device to the computer by USB holding the UP button; I tried and did not see results. I need something more detailed. I have a Philco tablet that looks like your system is corrupted, because whenever it connects it goes straight to recovery mode and it does not boot the Android system at all. I want to know if it is possible to use the SDK tools with a device that does not boot.

  • AFAIK you can only access fastboot from the menu you're accessing with the volume button trick. If you need ADB access, you need a (custom) recovery that has ADB support. Given that, you can boot your phone into recovery (usually from fastboot) and then use ADB with full root access, given a rooted phone. – confetti Aug 6 '18 at 21:18
