It currently has Android 4.4.2. I tried rooting it and installing a custom ROM firmware which looks like Lollipop from a UI perspective but it's still Android 4.0 under the hood. Any idea how to move to an actual Android 5.0?

  • It is as you tried. You've got to find a custom ROM specific to your device (search forums such as XDA; asking ROMs or sites is off-topic here) and flash it. Often, the ROM provider also provides instructions on flashing. However, if you have difficulty understanding the instructions or executing them and a Google search doesn't help, you can ask it here. :-) – Firelord Nov 20 '18 at 12:34
