I have a Wiko U PULSE Lite smartphone running Android Nougat 7.0. When I mount the phone on my Windows Vista computer by connecting the USB cable I can see the device as it's name shows up under Computer but when I click I can see no files, it's empty. Not sure if it's because this is a multiuser system with multiple users. Theoretically, it should show the files of the user who has unlocked the phone, but it shows none. Furthermore, when I try to look for a driver automatically from windows by clicking the smartphone icon in the tal-VAT on the lower right part of the screen it takes forever.

How can I mount my device and make my phone available for running apps from Android Studio?

Have you enabled/switched to the MTP mode on your Android device? Usually you have to do this every time you connect your phone to your PC. – Robert Dec 20 '18 at 17:25
  • It might also be required to unlock your screen (security measure, else anyone could just copy your storage when having the device). – Izzy Dec 20 '18 at 19:40
