welp, I tried the *#*#4636#*#* and on the phone info there is the option to disable with DNS verification. There are however some apps like google's contacts sync that are listening on the mDNS port (5353) all the time, multiple times (I checked with Netstat Plus). How is this possible and how can I close that port for that app? Thank you very much

  • I'm not sure what you are trying to ask, but mDNS is used to discover devices on local network, such as by adbd. You can kill mdnsd process or disable init service (mdnsd.rc) if you don't want it to run. – Irfan Latif Dec 21 '18 at 20:06
