So my storage was almost full and I didn't think about it when I transfered my photos over to my SD card. But now 150-200 photos are under the same date in the gallery (most of them are from albums, don't know why though).

The correct date where I took them seems atleast to be in the name of the files. And I read something about, that it's possible to restore the correct order cause the capture date won't get changed, just the edit-date.

I also have a 5 month old backup from teh sync manager on my computer, but I don't want to make things worse by mixing those two things up in the file editor.

Do you have any idea how to fix this, that doesn't involve manually changing 200 dates with an external app.

What would be the fastest and more important safest way to fix this?

  • You can use Faststone Viewer (or other image viewer), it can set timestamp of an image to its creation date (taken from exif). – Άνδρας Jan 24 at 11:43
  • I can't access my phone with the faststone viewer. It doesn't list the path. Can Fastone viewer do it for all photos at the same time? Or just one by one? – Dezido Jan 24 at 19:42
  • You can insert you card into s PC card reader. Yes, Faststone can do all photos in a folder at once. – Άνδρας Jan 24 at 20:16
