For a project, I need to be able to remotely scan and connect Wi-Fi access points detected by a Android phone, but doing scanning and connecting on the computer. Without USB tethering. This would basically turn a phone into a wireless network adapter. Note that the computer is already connected to the internet. How would one be able to do that ? If there is no ready solution, how do you think I could accomplish this ?

You could in theory run an app on the phone to do it, and have it submit the results to the computer – Natanael Feb 21 at 18:14
  • If not via USB, how is the phone connected to the computer? – Izzy Feb 21 at 20:39
