USB Debugging isn't working anymore (was working before).

Tested it with 2 real Xiaomi Mi A2 devices. Setup:

  • Xiaomi Mi A2 (Android 9, Build-Number: PKQ1.180904.001.V10.0.7.0.PDIMIXM)
  • macOS 10.14.4

  • adb 28.0.2-5303910

  • Same cable (USB-C to USB Type A)

adb device is empty.

Developer options && USB Debugging turned on

Why is "Use USB for" now disabled? Security option, bug? Is there a new option where I have to enable it?

This question came from our site for computer enthusiasts and power users.

  • Execute Revoke USB debugging authorizations then disable the option USB debugging. Reboot the device and re-enable USB debugging. – Robert Apr 13 at 12:33
