I want to modify my smartphone charger, i plan to use a dc socket with + and - only to charge my smartphone, now i wanted to increase the current to about 900 mA that's the current of my charger when the data lines are shorted, when i use a micro usb cable and AC charger (500 mA normal current when the data lines aren't shorted) My plans is shorting the data lines D+ and D- permanently, does shorting D- and D+ without power connected in my smartphone destroy the data ic immediately? My phone uses DCP charging method (sorry for my bad english ^^)
