I installed an app.

I want to make a note of the author or play store link so that I can find it in future if I want it on another mobile device

it doesn't show any author

enter image description here

There's no clue in the icon

enter image description here

And if I go to the play store

When I search it, typing 'file manager', it shows loads, but doesn't show any that say 'installed'

And when I choose installed apps in google play store, it doesn't show

enter image description here

Why would the app not show in installed apps in the play store?

When I go to settings..apps, I see file manager listed albeit with a different icon

enter image description here

And when I click there, I still get no indication of the author

enter image description here

Is there any way I can identify the app? (So that I can find it on google or in the play store? Or copy it or the installation file, so I can install it on another device)

Use an app like appinspector to identify the package name of the app. The you can check if it is available on Google Play: use the following url and add the package name at the end: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id= if get an "not available" the app is not in Play Store at the moment. – Robert May 18 at 14:30
