I want to take the battery out of my LG phone, but how do I do it? Having problem with it being stuck on a Firmware Update. It is only 1 year old. Or should I take it to the AT&T store to have them check it.

  • On modern devices usually the battery can't be removed. Press and hold the power button until the phone reboots (can take up to 60 seconds depending on the phone model). – Robert May 27 '19 at 7:23
  • Since you didn't mention the model, we can't really tell. You can try searching "how to remove battery on [phone model]", or you can wait until the battery depletes by itself since as Robert said, most of the modern devices don't have a removable battery. You can probably try to open the back case carefully, but based on my Nexus 5, the battery itself is strapped with metal and need a tool to take it out. It's much safer to take it to the official store if you still have the problem with your phone. – Andrew T. May 27 '19 at 14:11
