I have added a Google account to my phone -- not voluntarily but because Google demands this if you want to install apps. Is there any way to hide this account from other apps like the calendar?

Removing all google data except the play store is a similar question. However for me it's not about not seeing the data stored by Google but about making sure I don't accidentally add new data there instead of to the services I actually use.

This question has been asked before and already has an answer. If those answers do not fully address your question, please ask a new question.

  • For every app that declares android.permission.GET_ACCOUNTS_PRIVILEGED, do appops set <pkg> GET_ACCOUNTS deny from adb shell. Doesn't require root. With root you can use XPrivacy for a more fine-grained control. – Irfan Latif Sep 26 at 22:03
