When I got my Pixel 3 I understood there was online original resolution backup of my pictures available for a few years. So when I got prompted to backup certain folders, I did, then I realised they were nowhere to be found on the device itself (viewed through "Files" app). Worse, there doesn't seem to be a way to download these to the folders they came from that still exist (one has to download them, according to some sources one by one, into a ../DCIM/Restored folder on my phone.

First time I am familiar with the word backup being used to describe moving data off the source media!

Is there really no way to just have Google put my pictures back into their original location, in bulk (I am setting up a LAN backup of my phone when in proximity of my home wifi instead)?
