how to disable system calls in android.I am trying to disable all system calls in rooted android device,i am found some code for build.prop "bootstrap.system_call= false" but its not working, this is for external use only thanks

  • I don't think bootstrap.system_call is globally available on all operating systems. A quick web search shows results only in context of ElasticSearch. Under the hood it uses LInux kernel's seccomp filters. Android OS already uses seccomp since Oreo but from an end user's perspective you can't do anything except trying to sandbox some commandline program e.g. using firejail. To disable system calls globally you need to make some considerable changes to Android core framework and possibly kernel too. This is a development related question, off- topic here. – Irfan Latif Jan 24 at 13:43

Btw which syscall do you want to block and why? (Here is the complete list if you are interested). Disabling all syscalls doesn't make sense. Operating system cannot run without making system calls to kernel. – Irfan Latif Jan 24 at 13:56
  • Sir I want to disable syscalls for some times only not permantly, any other way to disable syscalls for a limited time in Android filesystem? – M.R. TENCENT Jan 25 at 17:10
  • If you don't mind telling me which syscalls you want to block and why, may be I can suggest something. Explore seccomp or SELinux. – Irfan Latif Jan 25 at 19:30
