So I managed to get SSH working properly, starting it with root so I can use the default SSH port 22. Only problem is that it doesn't allow me to login as anyone other than root. Trying to log in as the normal user (u0_a258)
ssh u0_a258@192.168.196.15
results in a root shell. I noticed that when running sshd
as the normal user, that I can't instantly log into root as well.
Also, running
su -u u0_a258 /usr/bin/bash
as root once again just opens a root shell.
What causes this? Is there a fix to this?
