I have an HTC One A9. When I turn on WiFi, the message "failed to load driver" pops up, and with the hotspot, it says that there is a temporal network problem. So, I connected my phone to the PC via USB, and when I changed the connection options to USB Tethering, it just opened the Settings but nothing worked.

I think it is because it does not recognize any more service providers than AT&T, and that may be what makes the hotspot not work.

How can I make it work with my local network provider and not with AT&T?

  • You should reset to factory defaults and try again, before anything else. And if it's network and/or SIM locked you should contact your provider for options. Again, given the age of the device, they'll probably just ignore you. Commented Jul 10 at 18:43
