I got a LG P500 Android device and I want to root it. The device is on stock ROM, android 2.3.3 V20e. Should I use SuperOneClick? And if so, how can I reboot my phone after the SuperOneClick procedure is finished? If I power off my device and then turn it back on, will it break it, or is this "reboot"?

Just few minutes before I again rooted my LgP500 running v2.3.3 stock v20d. I used SuperOneClick v2.3.3 and rooting was just a cake walk. I charged my phone fully and installed Lg's drivers and enabled USB debugging support. In the SuperOneClick's UI, I just clicked Root and waited for few tense minutes. Phone restarted automatically and after that the UI said rooting was successful.
It is not clear what you ask about booting, I just switched on normally and phone works normally.
Update: Found a link as asked...

I read a guide that said that I need to manually reboot my phone, are you telling me that the phone will reboot automatically? can you please give me a link to the guide that you used?– LStyleJan 13, 2013 at 9:38

I don't have a guide because I am rooting quite frequently and hence straight away use super one click. If you require, I will tree root again and let you know, but that will take few hours for me to sit with my computer. Jan 13, 2013 at 15:15

Thank you but I have successfuly rooted my device! but now I got another problem - after I flashed ROM Manager's recovery and I booted to recovery, I cant use recovry - I get a E: boot error "recovry" on the bottom of the screen. Can you please help me with that aswell? Thank you!– LStyleJan 13, 2013 at 15:55

It will be better if you ask it as another question (after searching), but at least do it in future. Reboot normally and run ROM manager. Choose to flash recovery and do not accept the automatically identified model, as it installs recovery for old baseband. Instead choose from the list where you will see two Optimus one. Chose the other than the old baseband and try. Jan 13, 2013 at 16:04

I don't see two Optimus One. When I open the ROM Manager app and choose the "Flash clockworkmod recovery" option I see 2 Options: 1. LGE Optimus One (Old BB) 2. Device not listed above. When I tap the second option I get a 'LG P500 does not have an offically supported clockworkmod recovery..' and the window is asking me if I installed a ClockWorkMod recovery manually. What shall I do? Thank You!– LStyleJan 13, 2013 at 17:39
Download root master (.apk) thent install it and start rooting, it creates an app 'super user' which gives root permission, and enjoy root Link:- http://www.9apps.com/android-apps/Root-Master/

When recommending an app, it is useful to provide a link where it can be obtained. I would recommend that you edit this answer to include that information. Dec 22, 2014 at 20:09
