I have a Samsung Galaxy Y running on Android and I am no longer able to use it. Every time I switch on the phone I get messages like:

The application Samsung Home (process.sec.....) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again

The application Email (process.com.android.email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again

The error comes for many apps including Avast antivirus, the Google Play Store and Email. Because of the constant errors I am not able to do anything with my phone.

How can I fix this and make my phone usable again?

  • what was the last thing that happened on the device before this started? Did you install any apps? try to root it? try to install a rom? – FoamyGuy Apr 16 '13 at 1:51

The app is supposed to cost money. You downloaded a free version that likely contained some sort of malware which is having adverse effects on your device. I would suggest trying to uninstall that application (and any others that you've gotten from untrustworthy sources) Are you able to get to the settings of your device? if so uninstall them from their. If not and you had debug mode turned on you could uninstall them adb. If you didn't however your only option may be to reset your device. – FoamyGuy Apr 16 '13 at 2:01
