This question already has an answer here:
Why is Google Play Music constantly running on my galaxy s4? I don't use any music app.
NOTE this has been previously posted but the answer given does NOT work
- Go to Settings→Apps→Manage Apps
- Go to the All tab
- Scroll the list until you find Google Play Music
- Tap the entry
- On the screen which opens on the tap, you'll find a button labeled Disable -- push it.
THEN it asks you to press OK or Cancel, pressing OK, then it says "Do you want to replace this app with the factory version? A little bit of a merry-go-round, the s4 for is so full of crap that you CAN'T remove its a real JOKE - samsung are fools for thinking anyone would use have the space wasting crap on an otherwise great phone
