The external SDCard was detected by my tablet, but it doesn't get mounted. I looked it up with my file browser and found the sd card. But when I open it, it says "empty".

I restart/reboot the device, but it does the same again. I have also tried to format the card as Fat32, NTFS and Others but it's not working.

The camera says "Media Scanning", which to me looks as it would have trouble accessing the card as well.

  • You say you just formatted the card. That means it is empty, as formatting erases all data. So it's just logical it says "empty". Could you go to Settings->Storage and see what's displayed there for the card? I expect something like the card's capacity shown, and zero space used on it -- which would mean it's mounted OK, but simply empty. The "Media Scanning" message could also refer to a scan on internal storage, it's not restricted to the card. – Izzy May 24 '13 at 9:13
