We are designing an application, its bottom part currently gets cut by bottom bar with Android Navigation Buttons (back, home, recent) which are called "soft buttons" (because they are on screen).

I will add that this only happens with 240x320 screen resolutions.

We can reproduce this only on Android emulator which lets us choose resolutions and soft/hard buttons.

After a small research I doubt that this combination is possible in reality (240x320 device with "soft buttons"), even for old rooted phones? right?

  • You mean, like the HTC Wildfire/Buzz? And what are you after: the information whether such devices do exist, or shopping information, or something completely different? – Izzy Nov 15 '13 at 12:35

This sounds like market research for an app development question if you ask me. – Dan Hulme Nov 15 '13 at 12:50
  • @Izzy The HTC Wildfire has capacitive buttons. I think the OP is asking for devices at that pixel size with on-screen buttons. – Dan Hulme Nov 15 '13 at 12:51
  • @DanHulme You're most likely correct with both assumptions. For the second, I mentioned the Buzz to address this ambiguosity (and asking for a more exact description). But yes, looks like a VTC case: mix of "market research" and "development targeted". MARCIN: could you please edit your question and make clear what kind of answers you are after? – Izzy Nov 15 '13 at 12:59
  • Hi guys.. Sorry for too little info, just updated the question – Marcin Czech Nov 15 '13 at 13:47

I'm pretty sure there's no phone with that resolution and on-screen buttons. It should be theoretically possible, but no one in their right mind would do that.
