Why can't I edit or crop images or photos in portrait format on my phone? What do I do to fix this issue?

When I try to change the home display wallpaper of my phone, the landscape crop mode works just fine. But when I try to use the portrait crop mode, it doesn't work.

  • How often are you facing the issue. Did you try other pictures as well,What's your android version 2.3 or anything updated – user285oo6 Aug 25 '14 at 9:28

I think its a bug. Just try this it worked for me:

  1. first is tap auto rotation (most important)
  2. go to gallery > pick the photo you want > set as > Home screen wallpaper
  3. tap the portrait like you did in the pic then keep tilting the phone until the blue box looks portrait.

It worked for me.

  3. Set as home screen wallpaper
  4. Select the portrait style, rotate your phone to landscape
  5. Finally, Save
