I own a Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos and it works perfectly fine, but I have one problem with it. Every time I'm on the phone and try to send messages, it won't let me use sim card 1. I am only able to send using sim card 2

But if I don't have an ongoing call, I can send messages using either sim card. The only time I cant send messages using sim card 1 is when I having an ongoing call.

  • When you have an ongoing call, are you actively using sim card 1? Because I know GSM networks generally can't have voice and data running at the same time, so if sim 1 is being used for a voice call, it can't send text messages (a kind of data). – Stephen Schrauger May 8 '14 at 13:43
  • What happens if you are calling using sim card 2? Can you send a text message with sim card 1? – Stephen Schrauger May 8 '14 at 13:44
  • No. i usually use sim card 2 during voice calls and i can send messages using sim card 2 even during ongoing calls. @StephenSchrauger – mimi May 8 '14 at 13:50
