I play Clash of Clans and I have a village which I do not want to lose.

I am attempting to save the village to Google Play Services but I am not able to install Play Services as it says that it is not compatible with other apps. How can I save my village without services, or how can I install Google Play Services?

My device is Maxx AX5 with Android 4.0.4 and kernel version 3.0.13.

Part 1 of your question can be answered in the bottom half of the following link. Requires Google+

https://gamesupport.supercell.net/hc/en-us/articles/421682-Can-I-transfer-my-village-to-a-new-device-

Part 2 of your question can be accomplished by flash the proper GApps package to your device. Goto XDA forum and do a search for your device and GApps package for version of Android that you are using

Well, I am also playing clash of clans from a quite while but I don't think there is any requirement to save the data i.e. in you're case its a village clash of clans is an online gaming platform so its data is always backup over the cloud. So in order to play the same game with all the progress saved over some other device you requires and "IGG ID" which can be get by opening the clash of clans over the device which you are currently using, upon opening you will see a gear icon right next to the sword icon tap over it's going to show your IGG ID note it down. Now when if you want to play the same over some other device what you need to done is opening up the Castle clash app over the other device, tap over the gear icon and if you see closely right next to the "IGG ID 213343345" there is a switch button tap over that put the IGG ID which you have noted previously. All done you old village will again show up over the new device. So, this has nothing to do with the Google Play Services app. But if you still want to install google play services app try searching for the Google Play Services.apk over the Google I am sure you will find a number of source which would allow you to download the apk file once you get the .apk file try installing it and yes this time try getting the .apk file from some trusted source like androidpolice or similar sites.

  • This is referring to a different game than the OP. Castle clash is not Clash of clans. Clash of Clans does not have this "IGG ID" you mention, it requires Google Play Services in order to sync/backup the progress. – bmdixon Sep 1 '14 at 9:19
  • @bmdixon I guess the progress over the Clash of Clans can be saved by using their option of saving the data over to the newer device, or just by using the sign in by google account will also save the progress over the Google Account. – Peter Carlos Sep 1 '14 at 9:45

Yes, the sync uses Google Play Services which is what the OP is having problems with. – bmdixon Sep 1 '14 at 9:46
  • @bmdixon anyway thanks for clarifying ! Actually the problem is the names of the games like Castle Clash which the whole time I was talking about and there is another named just the similar Clash of Clans. I wonder why these apps don't violate the Google guidelines. I have tried playing both of then they are just the same only difference is the interface nothing else. – Peter Carlos Sep 2 '14 at 3:49
