How can I get the exact time that a specific call took place? If I go to "recents" in the phone app, I see entries with times that read like Mobile, Yesterday. I need the exact time, down to the minute.

  • If you click on the specific call in the call log, it should take you to a screen that shows the exact time. What kind of phone do you have? OS? A few extra details would help out tremendously – New-To-IT Jan 15 '15 at 20:27

For Android 5.0.x Lollipop:

  1. Either on "Recents" or "Call History", tap the entry you want to see. It will open a mini-menu under the entry with options "Call back" and "Details".
  2. Select "Details" to see the call details.
  3. From here, you can see the time when you receive/miss a call, and also the duration of the call.

I have a Moto X 2014 edition with stock Android Lollipop 5.0. On Verizon. I do not get another mini menu for call details or call back as options. It just shows the recent list with the time of the call, not the duration.

This is different than with the Moto X original and KitKat which I just moved from last week. Not sure if I need some settings done differently.

This is really not good - I too need exact times (start - finish) for phone calls for billing purposes. I used to have it, but now it appears it is gone.

Any other Dialers that people have tried that contain this if there are no other settings to try?

Edited 5 minutes later - AHA - I just found it - you need to click the entry and not the picture of the contact for the min-menu to appear. I was clicking the picture of the contact, and it pulls up the contact info - not the call detail.

All set for now! Thanks!
