great site - I wonder if you could help. I'm hoping to get wifi music in the car. My car has bluetooth handsfree built in to the BMW CCC Pro I-drive but is missing A2DP profiles. The car has a 3.5mm stereo aux-in and a usb port (which gives out the standard 5v and can be used for mass storage for basic usb sticks, but I don't think it can be used to navigate the file structure of a connected phone). I have tried a separate bluetooth receiver but the sound quality is disappointing, I also tried a wifi audio receiver. I managed to get it to work with the help of an educated friend but setting up my phone as a hotspot. This however took ages to connect and meant I had to turn wifi off and hotspot on each time. At the moment the best compromise (without compromising audio quality) is just a 3.5mm cable from the headphone socket but a wireless solution would be better. Is there a decent way of using wifi in a way that automatically connects quickly and easily when I enter the car in the same way bluetooth does, and without requiring me to sit there for 10 minutes enabling hotspots, typing passwords, disabling wifi etc etc. If you know of any apps and/or solutions that would be amazing!. Thanks guys and keep up the good work.
