I will add my solution that worked on Ubuntu
First install simple-mtpfs and install fuse
cd ~
mkdir myphone
simple-mtpfs ~/myphone
Now you have your phone folders mounted on this directory, you can use rsync -t , or cp -p to copy the pictures and the created/modified/accessed times will not be changed.
Work for me :)
