It might not always be possible to transfer data between multiple users/profiles. It depends on the Device/Work Policy Controller app, installed by you or your IT admin. Android device can be managed in two ways: fully managed (which is setup at the time of first use or after factory reset on a company owned device) and work profiles (which can be added or ...

There is no way to change Chrome profiles on Android/iOS as per Google Chrome Help here. But, you can use apps like Parallel Space to have multiple chrome profiles.

My understanding is that this is controlled by the google+ app. according to this xda thread try: Open Setting -> Apps -> All -> Contacts Storage -> Clear Data Open Google+ -> Settings -> Your account (under Account Settings) -> Contacts -> Keep contacts up to date

You can specify quite a bit of logic in just the contexts. Having a profile with multiple contexts would be the easiest way to accomplish this. Remember that all contexts have to be met sequentially before the task(s) will fire. Also, the Wifi Connected context will accept multiple SSIDs by using pattern matching. In this case a / equals logical OR. Try the ...

You don't say which Lenovo tablet you bought, but according to this review Lenovo have disabled multiple user profiles on their Yoga 10 tablet in Android 4.2, but may be re-enabling the feature when they update to 4.3: The Lenovo Yoga Tablet launches on the Android 4.2.2 operating system, which brings most of Jelly Bean's goodness - that candy-based ...

If you go to settings > digital wellbeing + parental controls > digital wellbeing > ways to disconnect There's a setting for setting a work profile schedule

I had the same problem and got inspired by your idea to use WebIDE. It turns out it is possible to access the profile files throughout JavaScript at least in my Firefox for Android version 59.0.2, but this only helps partially to back up all profile data. Principle The file contents can be accessed using Ajax (see here), also if they are binary (reference)....

The one you want is Event->Phone Ringing. The State->Phone Call would not activate until you've answered the call. Event Profiles activate and deactivate rather quickly so you probably wouldn't see it if you were trying to watch for the green active color. However, you mentioned that it did not even set a variable through a test task. Were you using a ...

For now there isn't, unless an add-ons for WhatsApp will enable this or they built it in themselves. It's comparable to Facebook, user set their own avatar and this can be seen by friends. This works unlike your contact list in which you control the content and other users have no say in adjusting the content.

From my (cursory) checking right now - I would say no. From the Owner Profile, the only options present for Secondary Profiles are to Remove the Profile and set whether they can Make Phone Calls/Send SMS. From within the Secondary User Profile there is only the option to rename the profile.

On Android 5.0+, there is an option for multiple Users & Profiles, which is under Settings > Users and is titled Users & profiles. It is initially populated with a Guest User as well as the Owner User. To refer to non-owner Users & Profiles I would use and recognize Secondary User/Profile (unless specifically asking about the Guest User, which ...

Access user profile and tap on More Settings (the second one in orange is child profile with Bom as name) You will see yourself and child profile as below Tap the cog icon on right and disable Turn on phone calls and SMS That's it. If you enable, it gives you a warning that your calls and SMS would be shared as shown Tested on stock 7.1.2 But the drawback ...

Oneplus devices have a bug with device passwords. There are a number of community threads complaining about Device Passcodes not working I also experience this on my OnePlus device. As mentioned in the linked thread, the workaround is to reboot the device any time you are told the device password fails. I have to do this every other time the phone turns ...

I'm not sure if it is or it should be the default behavior, but it is expected behavior. Screenshots are taken (through command-line or key combination or tile) and saved by System UI (com.android.systemui) package which is part of stock Android. When deciding where to save the screenshot file, the path is decided (using getExternalStoragePublicDirectory ...

I read from a forum that for security reasons, the only way to change the owner is to do a Factory Reset.

It is meant for your relationship with contact After a relationship is added, you can call, text, or email the person using their nickname.... After the nickname is added, you can contact them by saying things like "Text my sister" or "Email my mom." Some typical fields from Google contacts app in screenshot (you can define a custom ...

At the top left there are icons for each device, and you can tap on one to select a different device. This may include older devices if you haven't removed them from your account yet, but they'll fail to work if you're not signed into the device. For example I have a tablet listed that I no longer own and removed my account from and it eventually fails to ...

Use Total commander for Android or other 3rd party file manager where you are able to use "Share via.." and the app will save the files in new destination.. Eg. the steps: In work profile via internal "Files" app select the file and use "Share" option In Share dialog switch to "Personal profile" sharing options Select ...

I figured out how to do it. Go to settings on your android phone, Then select Chrome and "Clear All Data". When you switch on Chrome again, you can find an option to select a Primary account. Then you can select the account you want.

What meant here is. If the malware has installed itself as an application in system. It will affect the phone cross-users irrespectively. For a user installed app that contains malware also, it can affect users systemwide if the two users install the same application since Android shares the installation directory /data/app and the obb data at /sdcard/...

I had the same issue on Nougat and changing the profile photo in contacts app worked for me Open Contacts App - Settings - My Info and change your profile photo. Works immediately, no restart needed.

The Android for Work app only works with 3rd party EMM solutions. It doesn't work with Google's own EMM which is kind of stupid. As far as I can tell, if you device isn't on the list of supported devices you cannot manage application installs with Google Apps EMM. You can only do things like enforce password policies etc.

I had a similar issue on my phone, and this has worked now with 2 contacts with caveats described below: Please note: I'm verifying this with contacts that definitely have Google+ profiles and are synced to my Google account. Select the contact (either from within Hangouts or via the Contacts app) Choose the Pencil Icon to edit the contact. Add a new ...

/data/system/users/0/photo.png is the picture you're looking for. But, you cannot get that pic or even visit its parent directory without elevated privileges. adb shell isn't enough to get it. There is a catch here. In my Paranoid ROM (AOSP) I found that the owner is supposed to create a contact (about me) for himself. Any image used in that contact is ...

I had a similar problem on my Lenovo P70A on Android 4.4 and 5.x as well. The solution for me was to manually create the folder "com.google.android.music" under the "/Android/data" folder on my external SD card, which is where Google Play Music normally stores the downloaded (offline) music. Once I've done this and force closed Google Play Music, starting ...

I was going to ask this same question. I noticed that there are some anecdotal answers available here, but I wanted to see some documentation. Here is what I've found. Based on Android Open Source Project documentation it seems that applications do run in the background. It says this: Secondary. Any user added to the device other than the primary user. ...

I just kept removing other Google accounts (all in this case) until the one I wanted was listed as owner. Not sure how the owner was changed from the initial Google account. It should selectable.

"Notification mode" refers not to the notification bar, but the notification sounds. If you turn it off, then notification sounds will be off. Notifications in the notification bar will still show. Some notifications still vibrating: sounds like the app developer implemented manual vibration instead of using notification settings.

The picture you are looking for is /data/system/users/0/photo.png just delete it to get rid of it. God bless.

There is a way. You can just download Android SDK and do from the console: adb push /tmp/newimage.jpg /data/data/com.whatsapp/files/Avatars/XXXXXX@s.whatsapp.net.j where XXXX is the phone number and /tmp/newimage.jpg is the new image you want to replace it with.
