Feature introduced in Android 4.0 to allow you to respond to an incoming call with a canned SMS response.

Quick Responses were introduced in Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). They are a third option to use when the phone is ringing in addition to "answer" and "ignore. The use case is when you want to let the person who is calling know that you saw that they called but that you're not currently available.

The default messages are:

  • Can't talk now. What's up?
  • I'll call you right back.
  • I'll call you later.
  • Can't talk now. Call me later?

The text of these messages can be edited by going to Phone | Settings | Quick responses.
