It's time for something different. Not because of the new year; something has needed to change for a while. I've been writing C# for 7 years, mainly writing web applications and working with CMS systems in ASP.NET. I learned a lot, made some mistakes and reflected on them. I stayed within my comfort zone at all times, assuming safety and stability are the same thing as happiness.
I want to create something of my own. Whether that is literally an IoT device soldered up at my desk, a transformation of someone's mindset and perceptions, or just being able to help others reach their dreams, I want to make this world a better place. I want to work for myself or surround myself with people who respect each other and build each other up.
Change is scary. I've been learning the basics of Linux Systems Administration so that I can open up a new world of opportunity. I want to automate things. I started learning Elixir and Ruby and even discovered I enjoy writing Perl! Making a living writing open-source software isn't easy, but nothing good in life is easy.
Now that you know my journey, how can I help you?
