I've been "Playing" with computers since '78 with the TRS 80 my mother and stepfather gotten (I was 23). By "Playing" I mean figuring things out, how different programs work and such. I've played on the '86 chip series and newer computers (Microsoft). Though since 2005 I've also owned two Macs. I hate Microsoft and Apple equally. I've also worked with Linux a little. I once Recovered a 20 Meg hard drive just to see what would happen. It only took 4 hours to rebuild (backups).
While I've worked with most forms of Basic on a PC since '78 I'm still a beginner programer. My best project was a calendar written using 4DOS batch file language. I figured it all out on my own working off of today's date and 1980 as the base for leap year, not pretty coding, but it works. I later found a calendar program in Basic, in Subroutine Sandwich (copyright 1983) which I ported to 4DOS. I also used it in 4DOS to emulate the cal command in Unix.
I also have PTSD which makes life "interesting".
I run Ubuntu, Vista, Win 7, Win 8.1, Android, OSX 10.9.5, and iDevices
