My Android device is rooted.

I use Parallel Space for running two WhatsApp accounts but Parallel Space gets stuck very frequently.

Please let me know how to run multiple WhatsApp accounts in my Android device in both cases; device is rooted and device is not rooted.

    I'm using parallel space on my not rooted Oneplus 3 and it is working just fine. It may be due to you're using the older version of Android or an older device.

There is a custom app based on original whatsapp , named Whatsapp PLUS , it allows you to edit complete user interface and as well you can run multiple whatsapp account on a single phone .

You should try GBWhatsapp. It runs smoothly here on my 4.2.2. It's arabic website but hope you will find what you need

There is one way to do that without root.

If you have a device with the Google Play Store, go and download Parallel Space app. If you have an arm/arm64 processor, download its extension Parallel Space 64-bit support as well.

After downloading this app, you can run two accounts of not just Whatsapp, but also of Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, Snapchat etc. This will not affect the first app installed in any way. You don't need to do any switching at all. Just add the shortcut of the Parallel app from Parallel Space on your launcher, and it will launch Whatsapp of the second account.

Follow these simple steps to go run multiple whatsapp accounts:

  1. Root your Android device.
  2. Make sure that you have WhatsApp app installed on your smartphone.
  3. Install SwitchMe Multiple accounts on your smartphone.
  4. Run SwitchMe Multiple accounts, it will ask for Superuser request that you need to grant.

One quite simple way of doing this that often gets overlooked, is adding a new user to the phone if you have android 5 or above, and installing whatsapp on there.
